Spectrum Marine’s Jason Chipp attended the 2025 Miami International Boat Show, 12 to 16 February and was mightily impressed with the sheer range and market dominance of the power cat brand.
“Aquila hosted the global launch of the 42 and 46 Coupe models, which were greeted with real enthusiasm,” he said. “It was also the opportunity to inspect the Aquila 50, which is headed to Australia for the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.”
On the Aquila stand were eight models, creating a spectacular impression – which is no mean feat given the extent of this massive boat show which showcases over 1,000 exhibitors, 1,000 boats on display and attracts more than 100,000 visitors over the five days.
Aquila sold in excess of 20 boats at the show, and received unanimously positive feedback from owners, media and visitors.
“The Aquila brand is by far the market leader in power cats when you consider build quality and model diversity,” Jason continued. “There’s the Sport line, Coupe line, Sport fishing line, Motor Yacht line and the luxury line, comprising the 70.”
At SCIBS 2025, 22 to 25 May, Aquila will present the largest line-up ever: an Aquila 32, 36, 42, 54, and for the first time at an international show, the Aquila 50.
According to Jason, “People are going to love the expedition style features, good layout across the flybridge, saloon and master cabin, the straight shaft configuration, and it’s set up for long-range cruising. The A50 is the perfect size for Australia. We’ve already sold two with more expected in 2025.”
